PDS, already a well established ISO14001 registered Company, are now also fully FSC® Certified...in their own right
Chain of Custody certification demonstrates a company’s commitment to the highest social and environmental standards on the market.
As public concerns about the state of the world’s forests and timber resources increases, FSC® provides a credible solution to complex environmental and social issues.
FSC® Chain of Custody certification tracks the FSC® Certified material through the production processes all the way to the end user. FSC® products can contain parts or proportions which are not fully FSC® Certified. The need to allow inclusion of non-certified components has arisen because there is not yet enough FSC® raw material available and certain products are not yet sufficiently developed in FSC® quality.
Customer demand for doors, windows and other purpose made joinery items with verifiable materials sourcing certification has intensified to the extent that product specification decisions are now rarely concluded without regard to this important principle. Mindful of our obligations, and in response to this development, PDS recently commissioned renowned Third party certification body B M Trada to review, refine and endorse our procurement, storage and production processes, and this now enables us to provide written declaration of full FSC® compliance, for products such as SBD Flat entrance sets, ECO doorsets and made to measure timber windows.
