Rochdale Door Company paints the town green!

A pioneering Rochdale Eco Home development has been presented with a Silver International Green Apple Award for Environmental Practice and Sustainable Development.
 

Performance Doorset Solutions (PDS) based in Littlebourough provided the eco friendly doors to the award winning regeneration housing scheme on Halifax Road, Rochdale last year.
 

“The Halifax Road development is a sure sign that “green” does have a place here in Rochdale.” Stated Managing Director Tim Fairley, “As well as the local environment, Eco home owners reap huge rewards including reduced energy bills and a healthier living environment”

Tim continues

“There is reduced embodied energy required to build the scheme and reduced waste due to the use of prefabricated windows and doorsets. All are made from recyclable materials and Certified FSC sources.”
 

Along with the PDS Eco Door, the project incorporated various eco friendly techniques including low energy light bulbs, low water content toilets and radiators, low flow rate showers and high efficiency gas fired boilers.
