These comprehensive tests assess the fire resistance, security, and performance of our fire rated doors, ensuring they provide the protection you need.

EN 1634-1 is a European standard for testing fire-resisting doorsets. This standard has overtaken the British standard BS 476-22 in many cases. EN 1634-1 provides a reliable measure of a door’s fire resistance by subjecting it to a controlled fire scenario. At PDS Doorsets, we test our doorsets to EN1634-1 as standard practice to ensure maximum safety and compliance.

Fire ratings for fire doors are indicated in minutes and prefixed by the letters FD:

• FD30: Provides at least 30 minutes of fire protection.
• FD60: Provides at least 60 minutes of fire protection.

Our fire rated doors are tested against a temperature-controlled furnace to achieve these ratings, to make sure they meet the required safety standards.

PAS24 is a product assessment specification for testing the enhanced security performance of doorsets and windows in the UK. This standard helps us to provide products that offer robust security to protect your property.

Our door sets are available in a wide range of finishes, depending on the product type. These include:

• Timber veneers with lacquered finish
• Veneer
• Foil
• Laminate – on twice
• Full range of laminate finishes
• Unfinished
• Primed
• Factory finished

Our doors can be factory finished in any RAL or BS colour, except for metallic colours. This wide range of options allows you to match or contrast your doors with the rest of your design easily.
