The Beginning

Performance Doorset Solutions (PDS) was established, marking the start of our journey in providing high-quality doorsets and joinery items to the UK construction industry. From the outset, our focus was on security, fire-rating, and bespoke solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

2004

Accredited Members of SBD

In just a year, we achieved accreditation from Secured by Design (SBD), a testament to our commitment to producing doorsets that meet rigorous security standards.

2006

First Fire Door Testing Success

We successfully passed our first fire door testing, a significant milestone that validated the safety and reliability of our fire-rated doorsets.

2014

Expansion of Manufacturing Capacity

To meet growing demand, we expanded our manufacturing facility to 95,000 square feet. This increase in capacity allowed us to enhance our production capabilities and better serve our clients with a wider range of products.

2015

Joining The Masonite Group

PDS joined The Masonite Group, a global leader in the manufacturing of doors and door components. This partnership provided us with additional resources and expertise to further innovate and expand our product offerings.

2019

Management Buyout and Employee Ownership

A management buyout transformed PDS into an employee shareholder business. This shift built a greater sense of ownership and commitment among our team, driving us to deliver even higher standards of quality and service.

2020

Launch of the Fireguard Range

We introduced the Fireguard range, which included doorsets bi-directionally tested to EN1634-1. Additionally, we launched our in-house door manufacturing line, enhancing our control over the production process and ensuring superior quality.

2021

GRP Fire Door Certification

PDS achieved further certification for GRP fire rated doors, introducing an EN-1634 bi-directionally tested doorset further expanding our range of fire-rated products and reinforcing our reputation for set safety and compliance.
